Saare Uluk LLC

Saare Uluk LLC was established in 2006. We are located in Estonia’s largest island, Saaremaa.

We offer products and services of game meat (wild boar, elk, and deer), which is hunted from Estonian pure nature.

The company has been recognized as the Food Act, the European Parliament and Council Regulation (EC) no. 852/2004 on food hygiene and the European Parliament and Council Regulation (EC) no. 853/2004 laying down specific hygiene rules for food handling and food sphere of handling the requirements. Approval number is 45.

Hunting calendar

RED DEER – 1 September to 31 January (hind/calves 1 September to 30 November);

ROE DEER – 1 June to 31 December, (during which period female roe deer and fawn 1 September to 31 December);

WILD BOAR – year round (except a sow with piglets); driven hunt 1 October to 28 February;

ELK – 15 September to 15 December (1-15 December half only).

Quality

Wild meat is a lean protein with a low-fat content that is primarily due to the animal’s higher level of activity as well as its natural diet (as opposed to the heavy grain and corn-based diets of domesticated livestock). Wild animals are not confined, require no forced antibiotics, and are able to roam freely and breed naturally. According to the USDA, wild meats are higher in protein, iron, and B vitamins than its beef and pork counterparts.

Wild game is also a good source of iron and zinc, which are beneficial minerals necessary for balanced health. Iron is necessary for oxygen to travel to tissues and organs while zinc provides support for a healthy immune system.
